The exploit minted roughly 46.1 billion unbacked synthetic BTC tokens, but the attacker only converted about $336,000 worth of wrapped BTC before the protocol halted its native Bitcoin Bridge. Other routes remain operational, with bitcoin swaps continuing via Chainflip and THORChain. Symbiosis is preparing a compensation plan for affected liquidity providers and offering a 20% bounty for further fund recovery, but has not yet disclosed total losses or when the native bridge will reopen.
