Study validates General Fusion's tech for efficient, self-sustaining fusion fuel cycle.

General Fusion announced that a study by Savannah River National Laboratory, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, supports the advantages of its Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF) technology for fusion fuel sustainability. The peer-reviewed research highlights that General Fusion’s MTF design requires less tritium to start up, breeds tritium faster, and can sustain fuel supply better than traditional fusion methods. This technology uses a proprietary liquid metal wall that shields the reactor and produces tritium fuel efficiently. The findings strengthen General Fusion’s position in the race to commercialize practical fusion energy and support its upcoming public listing plans.
