Sonoro Gold Corp. has started a 50,000-meter reverse circulation drilling program at its Cerro Caliche gold project in Sonora, Mexico. The two-phase campaign aims to increase the size, grade, and classification of the mineral resource by infill and expansion drilling across known gold zones and newly acquired concessions. Phase I includes 25,000 meters and 207 drill holes, expected to finish by fall 2026, while Phase II continues until spring 2027. This exploration supports the planned development of an open-pit, heap leach mine with a projected 10-year production capacity of up to 16,000 tonnes per day.
