SHARC Energy received a purchase order from the National Laboratory of the Rockies to deploy its PIRANHA wastewater heat recovery system at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. This U.S. Department of War-supported project aims to improve energy efficiency in domestic hot water systems for large institutional buildings, potentially saving up to 60% in energy costs. The PIRANHA system captures thermal energy from wastewater to provide high-efficiency hot water, cooling, and dehumidification year-round. The project will generate performance data to support wider adoption of this technology in military and commercial facilities across North America.
