Premier African Minerals' shares fell over 27% after the company announced plans to seek shareholder approval to issue up to 58.63 billion new shares to fund its Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project in Zimbabwe and strengthen its balance sheet. Additional shares may be issued to settle creditor debts and under existing conversion rights, with a total funding need of about US$19.1 million through 2027. The company also proposes a 10-for-1 share consolidation to reduce its large share count. Premier warned that without this funding, its projects and financial position could be materially impacted.
