Chainlink and Bottomline enable 600 banks to use blockchain for cross-border payments without changing existing systems.

Chainlink and Bottomline have partnered to integrate blockchain technology into a network serving over 600 banks and processing $16 trillion annually. This allows banks to use familiar SWIFT messaging standards while settling payments on blockchain, reducing cross-border transaction times and costs. The integration uses Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Runtime Environment to connect traditional finance with multiple blockchain networks. The success of this initiative could accelerate the adoption of tokenized finance, projected to reach $16 trillion by 2030, by making blockchain settlement seamless for banks.
