Hyundai's April sales highlight strong hybrid and EV growth despite slight overall decline

Hyundai Motor America reported total April sales of 80,157 units, a 2% decrease from April 2025, impacted by last year's pre-tariff purchases. Despite this, Hyundai saw strong growth in hybrid vehicles, with Sonata Hybrid sales up 171% and Elantra Hybrid up 55%, and a 6% increase in IONIQ 5 EV sales. The all-new Palisade SUV also set a new April sales record with an 8% increase. Hyundai continues to focus on electrification and expanding its market share with new models and partnerships, including a rugged pickup concept and expanded EV charging infrastructure.
