Doris Fisher, co-founder of Gap and a key figure in building one of America's leading clothing retailers, has died at age 94. She and her late husband Donald Fisher opened the first Gap store in 1969, targeting the teenage market with affordable, simple designs. Doris was an equal partner from the start, influencing Gap's culture, merchandising, and philanthropy. Today, Gap operates over 3,500 stores worldwide with annual sales around $15 billion, continuing the legacy she helped create.
