USDT0 stablecoin launches on Stellar, enabling cross-chain liquidity with LayerZero tech.

USDT0, a Tether-backed stablecoin, launched on the Stellar blockchain on September 2, 2026, using LayerZero's interoperability standard to enable seamless cross-chain transfers and unified liquidity access. This launch connects Stellar to a broader USDT liquidity pool across more than 25 networks without fragmenting token supplies, supporting payments, trading, and decentralized finance. Stellar's network, known for fast and low-cost transactions, aims to serve markets in Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific where USDT is popular. Adoption will depend on liquidity bridged to Stellar and integration by exchanges, wallets, and payment providers, with initial support from Kraken, Bitget, Fireblocks, and SushiSwap among others.
