PancakeSwap proposal to cut CAKE emissions and boost LP fees faces overwhelming rejection in vote.

PancakeSwap holders are voting on a proposal called "The Flip" that would reduce daily CAKE token emissions by about 69% and increase liquidity providers' share of swap fees to 88% on newer pools. The plan aims to reduce token dilution and reward liquidity providers more, but it is currently losing badly with over 98% of votes against it. A single wallet accounts for roughly three quarters of the no votes, making the outcome heavily influenced by one voter. If rejected, the current fee structure and emission rates will remain, and the PancakeSwap team will need to propose a new plan.

As of Oct 22, 2026 13:02 WIB, CAKE on Pluang trades at Rp39.839 with a 1-day change of -1.26%. The token's market cap stands at Rp12,57 trillion, and the circulating supply is 317.8 million CAKE out of a total 400 million. Despite the strong opposition to the emission cut proposal, Pluang users show a balanced order activity with 42% selling and 58% buying, while the typical hold time is 75 days.
