North American Niobium and Critical Minerals Corp. has drilled a second hole at its Seigneurie project in Québec, intersecting 108.60 metres of pegmatite, indicating a potentially large niobium and rare earth element system. The pegmatite occurs mainly at the contact between amphibolite and gneiss rocks, providing a clearer target for future drilling. Preliminary observations suggest a northwest trend different from previous interpretations, with mineral indicators of niobium, yttrium, and phosphorus found. Assay results are pending, and further exploration is planned to define the mineralization and expand the geological model.
