Neurocrine Biosciences has launched a Phase 2 clinical trial to test the safety and tolerability of CRENESSITY (crinecerfont) in children aged 3 months to under 4 years with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a rare genetic disorder. CRENESSITY is already approved for patients aged 4 and older to help control androgen levels alongside glucocorticoid therapy. This study aims to reduce the need for high-dose glucocorticoids in very young patients, potentially minimizing serious side effects. The trial will involve 20 participants over 24 weeks and supports plans to expand CRENESSITY's approved use to younger children in the U.S.
