Aave governance plans to cut borrowing limits by $3.8B after Binance wallet hack.

Following the Oct. 29 Binance hot-wallet hack, Aave governance is considering reducing borrowing limits across its V3 and V4 markets by about $3.8 billion to limit risk. LlamaRisk proposed lowering caps on 27 V3 reserves and six V4 credit lines to roughly 1.02 times pre-attack borrowings, removing $3.7 billion unused capacity from V3 and $130 million from V4. This move aims to prevent the attacker, who still holds large amounts of assets, from quickly building large positions if markets reopen. The limits will be implemented through a Risk Steward process before a phased reopening; GHO reserves are excluded from these changes.

Following the recent governance discussions on Aave's borrowing limits, the token is currently trading at Rp2.283.930 on Pluang as of Oct 30, 2026 18:22 WIB. The price has declined by 5.72% in the last day, with a market cap of Rp34,92 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of Rp11,43 trillion. Pluang users show a nearly balanced order activity with 51% selling and 49% buying, holding their positions typically for 106 days.
