Crypto market sees $342M liquidations as Bitcoin and XRP longs crash after Fed rate pause

The crypto market experienced a $342.25 million liquidation event in 24 hours, mainly affecting Bitcoin and XRP longs, following the Federal Reserve's decision to hold interest rates at 3.75–4%. Bitcoin dropped below $80,000 to $79,988, while XRP fell 2.79% to $1.287. Despite the sell-off, institutional investors are buying the dip, with notable investments in regulated crypto futures and tokenized assets. Market watchers expect continued volatility with key support levels around $79,080 for Bitcoin, as the Fed's cautious stance on inflation keeps pressure on risk assets.
