Amazon cargo jet crashes at Miami airport runway, killing 5 and injuring 5 others

An Amazon cargo plane operated by 21 Air overran the runway at Miami International Airport on Sept. 6, 2026, crashing into vehicles and killing at least five people while injuring five others. The Boeing 767-300, arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, struck two vehicles outside the airport perimeter, causing fatalities among their occupants. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause, having recovered flight data and voice recorders, but has not yet determined probable cause. The crash disrupted airport operations, leading to runway closures and significant flight delays during a busy holiday weekend.
