Chase cardholders can now invest Ultimate Rewards points directly via J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing accounts.

Chase has introduced a new feature allowing cardholders with eligible Chase Ultimate Rewards cards to redeem points as cash directly into J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing accounts, including taxable, custodial, and trust accounts. This eliminates the need for separate transfers or conversions, making it easier to invest credit card rewards. The program currently supports major Chase cards like Sapphire, Freedom, and Ink Business, with plans to expand to IRAs and advisor-managed accounts next year. This move encourages cardholders to use their unused rewards, which totaled $4 billion unredeemed in 2024, for long-term investing rather than letting points go unused.

JPMorgan Chase & Co shares trade at USD 332.80 on Pluang as of Oct 26, 2026 19:51 WIB, showing a modest 0.37% increase in the last day. The stock's market capitalization stands at $880.54 billion, reflecting its significant presence in the financial sector.
