J-Star partners with Patriot Green Energy to build 100MWh solid-state battery plant in Texas for UAV market

J-Star Holding has partnered with Patriot Green Energy Technology to develop a 100MWh modular automated solid-state battery production line in Baytown, Texas. This facility will produce polymer-based solid-state batteries aimed at the growing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and drone markets, supported by U.S. government grants and local economic development. The partnership leverages advanced technology from Taiwan and aims to establish a secure, domestic supply chain for high-performance batteries, with plans for workforce training and phased expansion. This move aligns with recent U.S.-Taiwan trade agreements and targets a rapidly expanding $50 billion UAV battery market.
