This ship features advanced radar and combat systems designed to address modern threats. HII is using a distributed shipbuilding model, involving multiple partner yards to increase production capacity and efficiency. The company currently has five other Flight III destroyers under construction and plans to outsource significant work to support the industrial base and meet Navy demands.
