Northern Graphite Corporation secured $6.225 million in interest-free government financing to extend its Lac des Iles mine life by up to eight years and restructured its senior secured debt to strengthen its balance sheet. Despite production challenges in 2025, the company advanced its mine-to-battery strategy with a joint venture to develop a $200 million Battery Anode Material facility in Saudi Arabia and plans for facilities in Canada and France. Northern aims to restart its Okanjande mine in Namibia by 2027 to supply this facility and expects to resume mining at Lac des Iles by mid-2026, positioning itself as a vertically integrated supplier for the growing battery and electric vehicle markets.
