Founders Metals secures full ownership of Antino Gold Project, backed by $77M investment from Gold Fields.

Founders Metals Inc. has completed the acquisition of the remaining 30% stake in Lawa Gold, gaining 100% ownership of the Antino Gold Project in Suriname. Concurrently, Gold Fields increased its stake in Founders to 19.9% through a C$76.96 million strategic investment, providing funds to advance exploration and development. This full control allows Founders to push forward with exploration and development on its terms, supported by strong backing from Gold Fields. The transaction includes milestone payments to Nana Resources and positions Founders well for future growth in the district-scale gold camp.

Gold Fields Limited (GFI), which recently increased its stake in Founders Metals, trades at USD 43.67 on Pluang as of Sep 17, 2026 20:12 WIB, up 4.08% for the day. This price is closer to its 52-week low of USD 31.25 than the high of USD 61.52, indicating room for potential growth. Despite a solid dividend yield of 5.53%, Pluang users currently lean more towards selling GFI shares, with 59% of order activity being sell orders.
