Ford recalls over 40,000 vehicles for headlight defect risking driver visibility and safety

Ford is recalling about 41,748 vehicles from model years 2025 to 2027, including Ford Expedition and several Ford Super Duty trucks, due to a headlight defect. The issue involves contaminated LED chips that can cause loss of various exterior lights, reducing driver visibility and increasing crash risk. A dashboard indicator will alert drivers to the problem. Dealers will inspect and replace faulty headlight assemblies at no cost, with owner notifications expected by October 26.
