First Tellurium's subsidiary PyroDelta Energy is creating a tellurium-based thermoelectric film that can be applied to the back of solar panels to generate electricity from temperature differences, even when sunlight is low or absent. This film aims to complement, not replace, traditional photovoltaic panels by capturing additional energy from heat retained and radiated by the environment. The technology is still in early development but could enhance both new and existing solar installations without altering panel design. Meanwhile, the company continues to prioritize its drone technology for commercialization before advancing the solar application further.
