Evolution Metals expands magnet production capacity ten-fold ahead of 2027 US defense sourcing rules.

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. has received additional ULVAC magnet production equipment at its Pohang facility, beginning a ten-fold capacity expansion to about 10,000 metric tons annually. This expansion enables the company to supply high-performance rare earth magnets outside China, meeting the January 1, 2027 DFARS rule that bans Chinese-origin magnets in US defense systems. The company reaffirms its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of $400-$460 million and plans to open the expanded facility in December 2026. This move positions Evolution Metals as a key non-China supplier for defense, drone, and automotive industries amid tightening US trade and defense policies.

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp.'s magnet capacity expansion is presented here alongside Basic Materials sector data from Pluang as of Oct 15, 2026 19:11 WIB. Among 83 priced US Basic Materials stocks, 52 rose and 29 fell. AngloGold Ashanti Limited (AU) gained 3.34% to USD 91.81 with 95% buy orders and a typical hold time of 49 days, contrasting with Corteva Inc.
