Ethereum Name Service launches ENSv2 with upgraded registries and optional NFT rewards for eligible users

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has launched ENSv2 on the Ethereum mainnet, introducing individual registries for subnames and an optional commemorative NFT for wallets eligible under a June 1, 2026 snapshot. Existing .eth names remain usable, and holders can upgrade their names through the ENS App without re-registering. ENSv2 allows separate permission controls for managing subnames and features a redesigned ENS App and Explorer. Eligible users can claim a unique NFT designed by artist Simon Alexander-Adams after upgrading all their names. The upgrade enhances organizational management of subnames and integrates with wallets and payment systems like MetaMask, PayPal, and Venmo.
