Enphase Energy plunges 20% on weak Q4 solar demand and cautious outlook

Enphase Energy's stock dropped 20% after reporting weaker-than-expected Q3 2026 results and a disappointing Q4 revenue forecast, reflecting a continued slump in U.S. residential solar demand due to higher interest rates and expired tax credits. The company’s revenue fell 28.5% year-over-year, and it expects further declines in product sell-through, planning to reduce shipments to clear excess inventory. Despite these near-term challenges, Enphase is investing in AI data center technology, aiming for a potential billion-dollar revenue stream by 2030, though commercial shipments are not expected until 2028. Other solar stocks like SolarEdge and Sunrun also declined amid the sector's softness, while First Solar remains less affected due to its focus on utility-scale projects.

Enphase Energy shares fell sharply, down 14.21% to USD 25.53 on Pluang as of Oct 28, 2026 20:41 WIB. SolarEdge also dropped 10.01% to USD 28.94, while Sunrun declined 4.65% to USD 7.18. First Solar saw a smaller decrease of 2.40%, trading at USD 171.63, reflecting varied impacts across the solar sector on Pluang.
