A bitcoin wallet that had been inactive since 2011 moved nearly 50 BTC, worth about $3.2 million, to a SegWit address associated with institutional crypto brokerage FalconX. The wallet originally received the coins when bitcoin was priced around $10, and the coins have remained untouched for over a decade. The new address has a history of transactions involving FalconX, Nexo, and Prime Trust wallets, but the moved bitcoins have not yet been spent or sold. This movement follows recent security concerns after a Coldcard hardware wallet exploit, prompting long-term holders to review their storage, though there is no direct link between this wallet and the exploit.
