CHMP recommends approval of Johnson & Johnson's TALVEY® with daratumumab for earlier treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

The European Medicines Agency's CHMP has recommended approval for Johnson & Johnson's TALVEY® (talquetamab) in combination with daratumumab for treating relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) in patients who have had at least one prior therapy. This combination, targeting the GPRC5D protein on myeloma cells, showed significant improvements in progression-free survival (up to 81%) and overall survival (up to 89%) at 24 months in a Phase 3 study. If approved, it would be the only bispecific antibody combo targeting GPRC5D available from the second line of treatment, offering a new immunotherapy approach that preserves healthy immune cells. Johnson & Johnson aims to provide deeper, longer-lasting responses earlier in the treatment course for multiple myeloma patients.

Johnson & Johnson's stock is trading at USD 262.85 on Pluang, down 1.78% in the last day, reflecting some market caution despite the positive news. As of Oct 24, 2026 01:11 WIB, the company holds a market cap of $644.22 billion with a dividend yield of 2%.
