T-Mobile CEO rejects SpaceX MVNO deal, citing no customer growth benefit from satellite network.

T-Mobile's CEO Srini Gopalan stated there is no room for a SpaceX mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) deal, as satellite service does not provide access to new customers beyond T-Mobile's reach. He emphasized that satellite networks, like SpaceX's Starlink, are inferior to fixed wireless access in urban areas due to shared capacity limitations. While open to complementary resale deals, Gopalan ruled out wholesale MVNO agreements that would compete with T-Mobile. This stance comes as SpaceX seeks to build its own terrestrial network using newly acquired spectrum, potentially challenging T-Mobile's market. Investors will watch for FCC decisions on spectrum deals and T-Mobile's future customer revenue trends to gauge impact.

As of Oct 29, 2026 20:03 WIB, T-Mobile (TMUS) trades at USD 153.15, up 3.21% for the day but still below its 52-week high of USD 221.98. In contrast, SpaceX (SPCX) is priced at USD 143.06, down 1.49% and closer to its 52-week low of USD 108.27. This price gap and recent moves on Pluang highlight differing market sentiments as T-Mobile maintains a strong buy interest at 96%, while SpaceX sees more cautious trading with 39% sell orders.
