Nebius CEO says company likely has enough funds to build 1 gigawatt AI capacity despite some capital sources drying up.

Nebius CEO Arkady Volozh stated that while some capital sources like asset-backed financing and debt markets are temporarily closed, the company has a healthy balance sheet and is working with customer advances and other instruments to likely fund at least one gigawatt of AI capacity. Nebius secured a $3.5 billion loan from Citigroup and holds $40 billion in long-term customer contracts with Microsoft and Meta, which support its financing. However, the Citi loan matures in October 2027, and longer-term financing remains a key watch point. The company's funding situation reflects broader market challenges where lenders are cautious, but Nebius remains among the few neoclouds able to secure significant financing.

As of Oct 26, 2026 22:51 WIB, Nebius Group NV shares are trading at USD 163.71, up 3.20% on Pluang, reflecting investor interest despite some capital sources being temporarily closed. Citigroup, which provided a $3.5 billion loan to Nebius, is also up 1.00% at USD 121.83. Microsoft, a key customer with long-term contracts supporting Nebius, trades at USD 530.60, up 1.16%. The notable figure here is Nebius's market cap of $43.15 billion, underscoring its significant presence in the technology sector.
