BlackRock buys $1.2B in Bitcoin amid price consolidation, boosting its holdings and U.S. spot BTC ETFs.

Between August 20 and September 15, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) purchased over $1.2 billion worth of Bitcoin, increasing its holdings to approximately 786,654 BTC. Despite Bitcoin's price consolidating around $76,330, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, led by BlackRock, saw a net cash inflow of nearly $1 billion, pushing total assets to over $100 billion. This strong buying activity by BlackRock could support continued bullish momentum in Bitcoin's price.

BlackRock shares trade at USD 1,054.42, down 1.05% as of Sep 16, 2026 01:02 WIB on Pluang. The stock's market cap stands at $165.03 billion, reflecting its strong presence in financial markets. This comes as BlackRock's Bitcoin Trust boosts its Bitcoin holdings significantly, highlighting the firm's growing crypto exposure.
