Bitcoin ETFs see $910M outflows in two weeks amid price dip below investors' average cost

American Bitcoin ETFs experienced nearly $910 million in net outflows over two weeks, reflecting investor caution as Bitcoin's price fell below the average purchase cost of ETF holders, around $82,300. Despite some brief inflows, the overall trend in October turned negative with significant withdrawals, especially after a large $484.9 million outflow on October 7. The dip in Bitcoin price below $80,000 has pressured investors, leading to liquidations in derivative markets. Economic factors like rising US inflation and interest rate concerns also weigh on Bitcoin's appeal. However, since their launch in January 2024, Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated $57.3 billion in net inflows, suggesting long-term investor interest remains positive.

Following the recent outflows from Bitcoin ETFs, Bitcoin itself trades at Rp1.453.638.252 on Pluang as of Oct 19, 2026 02:21 WIB, showing a modest 0.43% decline in the past day. The market cap stands at Rp29.399,73 trillion with a 24-hour trading volume of Rp287,82 trillion. Pluang users currently show a buying preference with 59% buy orders and a typical holding period of 111 days, indicating steady interest despite recent ETF withdrawals.
