For example, a pool charging 30 basis points to traders now adds a 5 basis point protocol fee, making the total fee about 35 basis points, with the protocol fee representing roughly 14% of total fees. Some critics misunderstood the fee structure, thinking LP earnings were reduced or that the protocol took 25% of LP profits, which Adams refuted. The new fee system is live on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, OP Mainnet, and Robinhood Chain, with future governance proposals planned to adjust fees if needed. The key test will be whether liquidity and trading volumes remain stable under the new fee model.
