Arcus, a new decentralized exchange developed by dYdX Labs and Robinhood Crypto, has launched spot trading for 95 stock tokens on Robinhood Chain, a Layer-2 solution enabling 24/7 trading. While perpetual futures are not yet fully available and remain on a waitlist, Arcus aims to combine traditional finance assets with DeFi infrastructure and leverage Robinhood's large retail user base. The platform's success will depend on how quickly it opens perpetual futures access and its performance under real trading conditions. Future plans include launching an Arcus token with special allocations for dYdX community members, and integrating social trading features from the Pocket Protector app acquisition, potentially offering a unique decentralized social trading experience.
