
SciTec, a subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, secured a $3.2 billion Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement from the U.S. Space Force to develop a space-based missile defense interceptor system under the Golden Dome program. This initiative aims to integrate AI-powered tracking and interceptors by 2028 to counter advanced missile threats. SciTec brings over 45 years of defense technology experience, supporting national security missions with advanced AI and software solutions. The contract is part of a broader $3.2 billion effort involving 12 companies to enhance U.S. missile defense capabilities in space.
