Amazon stays a Buy as AWS growth and efficiency offset heavy spending concerns

Amazon.com remains a Buy due to strong growth in its AWS cloud business, which saw 39.3% revenue growth and a 38.7% margin. The retail and advertising segments also showed positive performance, with North American operating income rising and advertising expected to rebound in Q4. However, heavy capital expenditures of $210.7 billion have led to negative free cash flow, raising concerns about the balance between investment pace and near-term shareholder returns. Management also cautions that AI workloads might pressure future AWS margins.

Amazon shares trade at USD 239.17 on Pluang as of Oct 31, 2026 00:41 WIB, down 1.90% in one day. The stock's market cap stands at $2.64 trillion with a 52-week range between $198.79 and $284.02. Pluang investors hold Amazon for an average of 128 days, showing moderate confidence despite recent price drops.
