Amazon is expanding its conversational AI assistant Alexa+ to India by inviting users to beta test a Hindi-language version. The company emailed select customers to join the beta program by June 22, aiming to refine Alexa+ with user feedback. Alexa+ currently isn't available in India, and the launch date is unclear. This move targets the large Hindi-speaking population, reflecting Amazon's strategy to tap into native speakers who mix Hindi and English in daily use. Alexa+ was first launched in the US in 2025 and has since expanded to several countries with local context support, offered free to Prime members or via subscription for others.
