Aave V3.8 upgrade keeps flash loan liquidation route open, maintaining current DeFi operations.

Aave Labs announced that its proposed V3.8 security upgrade will not restrict flash loans, allowing flashLoan() and flashLoanSimple() functions to continue enabling liquidations of borrowing positions. This means flash-loan callbacks can still call Aave Pool functions, including liquidations, preserving existing DeFi tools and integrations. The upgrade introduces a transient storage guard to protect Pool accounting during multiple interactions in a single transaction but leaves flash loans unguarded to maintain current functionality. The proposal is under community review, with feedback, voting, and audits planned before formal adoption.

Following Aave Labs' announcement of the V3.8 upgrade proposal, AAVE on Pluang is trading at Rp2.480.609 as of Oct 25, 2026 09:21 WIB, showing a 4.65% decline in the past day. The platform records a market cap of Rp38,33 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of Rp4,13 trillion, with strong buy interest at 98% of order activity. Typical holders keep AAVE for about 106 days on Pluang, indicating a moderate-term investment horizon among users.
