65% of Solana options on Deribit expire Sept 25, amid key strikes and thin altcoin options market.

On Deribit, 65% of Solana (SOL) options open interest is set to expire on September 25, clustered around key strike prices of $90, $105, and $125. This date also marks a major quarterly expiry for Bitcoin and Ethereum options, with $15.9 billion and $2.1 billion open interest respectively. Despite Deribit's efforts to expand altcoin options, SOL options trading remains modest and less liquid compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. The strike prices indicate market positioning with downside protection and out-of-the-money call targets, while price discovery for SOL mainly happens in futures and perpetual swap markets on other platforms.

Solana (SOL) is trading at Rp2.098.137 with a 3.14% gain on Pluang as of Sep 25, 2026 01:22 WIB. This strong price movement coincides with the significant options expiry on Deribit, where 65% of SOL's open interest is set to expire today. Pluang data shows a market cap of Rp1.233,84T and a 24-hour volume of Rp67,75T, with typical hold times around 70 days and a balanced order activity leaning slightly towards selling at 58%.
