How Does a Mutual Fund Purchase Simulation Work on Pluang?

A mutual fund purchase simulation on Pluang shows how the time you complete your purchase decides which NAV (Net Asset Value, or NAB) you get and when your units are added. Take a purchase made on a Friday, with Saturday and Sunday as exchange holidays. If you complete the purchase before 13:00 WIB on Friday, you get Friday's NAV, which is updated that same evening between 21:00 and 24:00 WIB, and the purchase is completed on Monday, the next exchange day. If you complete it at or after 13:00 WIB on Friday, you get Monday's NAV instead, updated on Monday evening between 21:00 and 24:00 WIB, and the purchase is completed within 2 exchange days, on Tuesday. Purchases made on a weekend or national holiday are processed on the next exchange day. Your mutual fund balance increases once the purchase is completed.

The rules behind the simulation

  • Cut-off time: 13:00 WIB on exchange days. Exchange days are Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays and Cuti Bersama.
  • What counts: the time your purchase is completed, meaning your payment is confirmed successful.
  • Before the cut-off: the purchase is processed the same day at that day's NAV, and units are added on the next exchange day.
  • At or after the cut-off, or on a non-exchange day: the purchase is processed on the next exchange day at that day's NAV, and units are added within 2 exchange days.
  • NAV shown when you buy: the previous exchange day's NAV, as an estimate only. Your final NAV is the one listed after your purchase has been verified.

Related questions:

Q: How do I work out my number of units in a mutual fund purchase simulation?
Your number of units is the amount you invest divided by the final NAV per unit on your NAV date. As an illustration, investing Rp1,000,000 at a NAV of Rp1,250 gives you 800 units. You will know your final number of units only after the NAV is updated between 21:00 and 24:00 WIB on your NAV date; until then, the NAV in your transaction details is the previous exchange day's NAV, used only as an estimate. Your mutual fund balance increases when the purchase is completed.

Q: What happens if I buy a mutual fund on a national holiday?
A purchase made on a national holiday or Cuti Bersama day is treated like a purchase after the 13:00 WIB cut-off: it is processed on the next exchange day and gets that day's NAV. For example, if a Wednesday is a national holiday, a purchase made that day is processed on Thursday at Thursday's NAV, which is updated on Thursday evening between 21:00 and 24:00 WIB.

Q: Is there a fee when I buy a mutual fund on Pluang?
As of September 2026, Pluang charges an admin fee of Rp4,500 per transaction for mutual fund purchases paid with GoPay and Rp5,500 per transaction for purchases paid with a Virtual Account, plus 11% VAT on that admin fee. GoPay and Virtual Account are available for transactions below Rp100,000,000; Bank Transfer is used for Rp100,000,000 and above. Fund-level costs are already included in the NAV and listed in each fund's Prospectus and Fund Fact Sheet.

Q: Why does my transaction show a different NAV right after I pay?
Right after your payment is confirmed, the NAV in your transaction details is still the previous exchange day's NAV, not the final NAV you will get. Your final NAV is the one listed after your purchase has been verified, following the NAV update between 21:00 and 24:00 WIB on your NAV date. This is why the estimate you see at checkout can differ from your final result.
