How Do Staking Transactions Appear in My Transaction History?

Staking and unstaking activity is recorded in your Pluang transaction history as ordinary coin movements. A staking request appears as a withdrawal — the coins are leaving your available wallet and moving into the staking pool. Each weekly reward distribution appears as a deposit — coins entering your available wallet from the staking pool, every Tuesday. When you unstake, the returned coins also show as a deposit once the unbonding period is complete. The direction (in or out of your available wallet) is what determines whether an event is logged as a deposit or a withdrawal, so nothing is "spent" or "lost" — the coins are simply moving between your available wallet and staking. Reward distribution deposits show the net amount, after TDS (5%) and VAT/PPN (0.11%) have been deducted per the prevailing tax rules. You can filter transaction history by coin and by transaction type to isolate your staking-related entries.

  • Why staking shows as a withdrawal. Transaction history tracks fund movements in and out of your available wallet. When you stake, coins leave the available wallet for the staking pool, so the system logs it as a withdrawal — even though the coins are still yours and still on Pluang. It is a location change, not a sale.
  • Why rewards and unstaking show as deposits. Both weekly reward distributions and returned unstaked coins flow back into your available wallet, so both are logged as deposits. A reward deposit lands every Tuesday; an unstaking deposit lands once the unbonding period reaches "Un-bonding Done".
  • What each entry shows. A staking (withdrawal) entry shows the coin ticker, the quantity staked, and the date/time the batch processed it. A reward (deposit) entry shows the ticker, the net reward quantity, and the Tuesday distribution date. An unstaking (deposit) entry shows the ticker, the quantity returned, and the date unbonding completed.
  • Status changes are elsewhere. Bonding, active-staking, and unbonding status changes (Bonding In-Progress, Staking Active, Un-bonding Requested, and so on) appear in the staking section of your portfolio, not in the main transaction history. Transaction history records only actual fund movements, not status transitions.
  • Filtering to find staking entries. In the app you can filter transaction history by the specific coin and/or by transaction type. Filtering by coin is the quickest way to separate your staking withdrawals and reward deposits from unrelated buys, sells, and transfers.
  • Keeping records for tax. Your transaction history entries act as your record of reward income received. Pluang does not currently provide a formal staking-reward tax statement or an export feature, so if you need documentation, keep your own record of the weekly reward-distribution deposits.

Related questions:

Q: Where do I find the transaction history for my staking activity?
Open the transaction history section in the Pluang app and filter by the relevant coin. Your staking-related entries appear as withdrawals (the staking request itself) and as deposits (weekly reward distributions and any completed unstaking returns). Filtering by coin, and by transaction type if needed, is the fastest way to separate staking movements from ordinary buys, sells, and transfers in the same wallet.

Q: Does the reward distribution transaction show the gross or net reward amount?
The distribution deposit shows the net reward amount — the figure remaining after TDS (5%) and VAT/PPN (0.11%) have already been deducted from the gross daily reward during accrual, per the prevailing tax rules. So the number you see credited on Tuesday is what actually lands in your available wallet, not the pre-tax gross. There is no separate line item deducting tax at distribution; the deduction happens earlier, during accrual.

Q: Are bonding and unbonding status changes shown in transaction history?
No. Status changes such as Bonding In-Progress, Staking Active, and Un-bonding Requested are shown in the staking section of your portfolio rather than in the main transaction history. Transaction history is reserved for actual coin movements — the staking withdrawal, the reward deposits, and the unstaking return. To track where a position is in its lifecycle, check the staking area of your portfolio instead.

Q: Can I export my staking transaction history for tax reporting?
Pluang does not currently provide an export feature for transaction history. If you need documentation of your staking-reward income, keep your own manual record of the weekly reward-distribution deposits — the coin, the net quantity, and the Tuesday date — as they appear in the app. Because tax treatment depends on your personal situation, it is best to consult a tax professional on how to use these records.

Q: Why does my staked balance not appear as a normal holding?
Once staked, coins move out of your available wallet into the staking pool, which is why the initial stake logs as a withdrawal and the staked amount is tracked in the staking section of your portfolio rather than sitting as free available balance. The coins remain yours throughout, but they are committed to staking and are not spendable or transferable until you unstake and the unbonding period completes.
