Can I Stake Only Part of My Crypto Holdings?

Yes. You can choose to stake only a portion of your crypto holdings. When submitting a staking request, you select the quantity you want to stake — you are not required to stake your entire balance. The remaining balance stays in your available wallet and can be traded or withdrawn freely.

Example: You hold 2 ETH. You stake 0.5 ETH.

  • 0.5 ETH → enters staking (bonding, then Staking Active, earning rewards)
  • 1.5 ETH → stays in available wallet (tradeable and withdrawable at any time)

Adding to your stake later: You can submit additional staking requests for the same coin at any time (provided you still hold the minimum). Each new request goes through its own bonding period before earning rewards.

Related questions:

Q: If I stake more of the same coin later, does it restart my bonding period for the original stake?
No. Each staking request is processed independently. Your existing Staking Active balance continues earning while the new batch goes through bonding.

Q: Is there a minimum amount I need to keep in my available wallet?
No. You may stake your entire available balance of a supported coin.

Q: Can I partially unstake some of my staked coins?
Check the Pluang app for current partial unstaking options.
