Are My Staked Coins Locked — Can I Still Trade or Withdraw Them?
Yes, staked coins are locked for the duration of the staking period. You cannot trade, sell, send, or withdraw coins that are in Staking Active, Bonding In-Progress, Un-bonding Requested, or Un-bonding In-Progress status. Coins only become available again once they reach Un-bonding Done status.
What you can and cannot do with staked coins:
| Action | Available while staking? |
|---|---|
| Trade (buy/sell) | Not available |
| Send to external wallet | Not available |
| Withdraw (cashout) | Not available |
| Earn rewards | Available (Staking Active only) |
| View balance | Available |
Where staked coins appear: Your staked coins appear in a dedicated Staking section under the crypto asset in your Pluang portfolio, separate from your available (liquid) crypto balance.
Related questions:
Q: What happens if I want to trade my staked coins urgently?
You must submit an unstaking request first. After the unbonding period ends and status reaches Un-bonding Done, coins are returned to your available balance.
Q: Are my unstaking coins (Un-bonding In-Progress) available to trade?
No. Coins remain locked throughout the unbonding period. They are only released once unbonding is fully complete.
Q: Can I partially unstake my staked amount?
Check the Pluang app for partial unstaking options. Each coin may have different rules on minimum unstake quantities.
Q: Does staking affect my non-staked crypto holdings?
No. Only the quantity you choose to stake is locked. All other crypto in your wallet remains available.
