About Mulia Industrindo Tbk

PT Mulia Industrindo Tbk (the company) was established based on Deed No. 15 dated November 5, 1986 of Liliani Handajawati Tamzil S.H., notary in Jakarta, as amended by deed No. 7 dated May 6, 1987 of the same notary.. The company's articles of association have been amended several times, most recently on January 21, 1997 regarding the change of the Company's name and par value per share. The company is one of the companies of the Mulia Group. The company started its commercial operations in 1990.

About Smart Tbk.

The Company began its business under the name of PT Maskapai Perkebunan Sumcama Padang Halaban in 1962. In 1970, the Company was returned to the foreign party and converted its status to PMA (Foreign Capital Investment). Further in 1985, the status of the Company was converted to PMDN (Domestic Capital Investment). The Company then in 1991 changed its name to PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Corporation or abbreviated PT SMART Corporation. In 1989, the Company acquired 100% shares of 2 oil palm plantations, PT Maskapai Perkebunan Leidong West Indonesia and PT Perusahaan Perkebunan Panigoran. The Comapany the also acquired 100% shares of PT Maskapai Perkebunan Indorub Sumber Wadung, tea plantation. In 1991, the Company took over 100% shares of PT Nirmala Agung; tea plantation, PT PT Global Agronusa Indonesia; banana plantation, PT Mulyorejo Industrial Company; a producer of cooking oil, margarine and shortening, and acquired a 25% stake in PT Grahamas Indojaya; transportation company. Prior to the public offering in 1992, the Company took over 100% shares of PT Kunci Mas Wijaya, 49% shares of PT Inti Gerakmaju; hybrid coconut and an oil palm plantation, and a 49% shares of PT Tapian Nadenggan; an oil palm plantation. The Company then acquired 50% shares of PT Sinar Meadow International Indonesia; producer of cooking oil, margarine and shortening, and PT Sinar Pure Foods International; a tuna canning operation. In 1993, the Company took over two oil palm plantation, PT Kresna Duta Agroindo which ia located in Jambiand PT Pilinti Perkasa Alam then changed its name to PT Ivo Mas Exim, which is located in Riau.
