The Company’s parent is PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) and the Company’s ultimate parent is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Company represents a merger of three Dutch Mining companies with operations in Indonesia. The Company’s registration statement in offer 50.330.000 new B class shares at par value of Rp. 500 per share in Indonesia was effective on 27 September 1995. In relation to the offering the new shares, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia also offered 125,825,000 B class shares which were represented by 12,582,500 GDR (each GDR representing 10 B class shares) to the public outside Indonesia.
