
The YieldMax Universe Fund of Option Income ETFs (YMAX) continues to face challenges with persistent net asset value (NAV) erosion and an unsustainable distribution policy despite offering an annualized yield above 40%. Year-to-date, YMAX's share price has dropped 22.7%, and total returns including reinvested distributions are only 4.8%. Recent portfolio changes, such as momentum-based allocation and inclusion of short ETFs, have not stopped capital outflows or improved performance. Without reducing payouts to sustainable levels, NAV and distributions are expected to shrink further, likely leading to a reverse stock split and continued underperformance, making it a hold for investors.
