PancakeSwap proposes cutting CAKE emissions by 69% and boosting fees for new liquidity pools.

PancakeSwap's core team proposed a plan called The Flip to redirect more swap-fee revenue to liquidity providers on newer v3 and Infinity pools across 11 blockchains, raising their fee share from about 66-68% to 88%. At the same time, daily CAKE token emissions would be cut by 69%, from 22,500 to 7,000 tokens, with the remainder funding an ecosystem fund called the Pantry. This change aims to reduce new token issuance and increase incentives for liquidity providers, potentially adding $62 million in fees for them based on 2025 volumes. The proposal is under community discussion and, if approved, would start implementation in November 2026 and finish by January 2027.

CAKE (PancakeSwap) trades at Rp39,399 on Pluang, down 3.33% as of Oct 15, 2026 20:22 WIB. The token's market cap stands at Rp12.46 trillion with a 24-hour volume of Rp932.53 million. Pluang data shows a balanced order activity of 54% buy and 46% sell, with typical holdings lasting 75 days.
