Tether invests in EFY Finance to boost stablecoin use in Latin America's financial services.

Tether has invested in EFY Finance, a Latin American financial infrastructure firm, to expand the use of its USD₮ and USA₮ stablecoins among institutions. This investment will help EFY Finance develop stablecoin-based cross-border payments, account services, and digital-asset custody infrastructure, aiming to integrate stablecoins with traditional financial services across the region. EFY Finance already supports deposits, withdrawals, OTC trading, wallet services, and payment cards in over 12 currencies across 17 countries, serving more than 25,000 accounts. The move is expected to enhance stablecoin adoption and connectivity with conventional finance in Latin America.

Tether's investment in EFY Finance comes as the broader cryptocurrency market shows limited upward movement.
