TON Network upgrades boost speed 10x, cut fees 6x, and triple staking rewards in April

TON Strategy Company announced that The Open Network (TON) deployed its Catchain 2.0 upgrade, which reduced block times from 2.5 seconds to 400 milliseconds and increased transaction throughput by 10 times. This upgrade also cut transaction finality times from 10 seconds to 1 second, enabling faster real-time applications across various sectors. Additionally, transaction fees were lowered by about 6 times to $0.0005 per transaction to encourage higher volume, supported by TON Strategy's governance participation. As a result, TON Strategy saw its gross staking rewards increase more than 3.5 times in April compared to March. The company continues to focus on staking and infrastructure to support network growth and long-term value for investors.
