The Main Sector Rotation ETF (SECT), an actively managed fund that rotates between underappreciated sectors, has been given a Hold rating by analyst Vasily Zyryanov. SECT currently favors the IT sector with a mix of high beta and growth stocks but lacks a strong growth-at-a-reasonable-price (GARP) focus. From October 2017 to July 2026, SECT underperformed the broad market ETF IVV by 1.9% annually and showed weaker risk-adjusted returns. Although SECT outperformed IVV by 5.36% in 2022, demonstrating some ability to limit losses in bear markets, this performance is not enough to recommend a bullish stance on the fund.
