Tissue analysis showed natural killer cell infiltration and other immune markers, with 8 of 10 patients showing clinical response and 6 having no detectable melanoma in biopsies. The findings suggest THT could enhance the effectiveness of immunotherapy drugs like PD-1 inhibitors, potentially benefiting other cancers such as colorectal cancer. The results are being prepared for peer-reviewed publication, indicating a promising new approach to cancer treatment.
